As before; Sewing machine and/or Overlocker owner training continues. Once you have mastered your machine or overlocker in Level 1 move on to more advanced techniques with Levels 2 and 3.

Our Kids Can Sew Classes will be held in the July School Holidays. Remember bookings are strictly limited.

Larraine will be teaching Machine Embroidery in which she is a Master (not to be missed!) and 5D Embroidery Software which you all have been asking for. We have a special price if you attend both classes on the same day!!!!!!

Larraine will also present the Spice of Life Bag Workshop on the 30th of May.

The Bear Cottage Patchwork Group continues on the 7th June. It is designed to get a group of like minded people together, to make quilts for children and their siblings staying at Bear Cottage.

It is a no pressure group, where people can work at their own pace. You may make a quilt a month or a quilt a year.

You need to have some knowledge of patchwork, though, I expect we will all learn something from one another.

This group will give us the opportunity to use fabrics that we have had in our stash for a while and also the opportunity to swap with others.

The only stipulation Bear Cottage have, is that a bear is contained in the quilt top somewhere. It may be one or many bears.

BABY LOCK CLUB continues on 5^th June. This is a great class to gain confidence with your machine. You will learn new techniques with like minded ladies in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Vera Hugel has now settled in in an Instructor capacity, with a wide range of beginner courses to which she will be adding more advanced levels. Vera brings with her over 30 years of quilting and sewing experience as an International Instructor, Demonstrator and Author. You will find her insights and “hones cheating” methods most helpful in overcoming tedious tasks and achieving professional results.

Each of Vera's courses form building blocks for a more advanced level with more challenging techniques; therefore they are technique oriented with an artistic compliment of colour, texture, scale and design. Her aim is to enrich the students with practical knowledge and to inspire them to embrace more advanced creative possibilities. Vera's coursed are equally suitable for the beginner as they are for the experienced quilter or sewer.
